Born and raised in India, Vandana Nair loves to chronicle the ordinary by capturing joy, humour, lived experience and unsentimental hope across her journals, stories, and everyday spaces. Her work explores gender, class, linguistic diversity, and the cultural traditions that shape contemporary Asian landscape, while resonating across cultures through its universal themes. Having lived in three countries over twenty years, she gives vivid attention to the people and places that have held her, extracting material for her art and life from her movements and her roots.
